Maintenance and Fix out Carpenter

Next Storey Home Additions builds second-storey additions on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We're after a full-time carpenter for the finishing end of our builds. Someone whose fixout speaks for itself and who cares about the details other people miss.

You'll handle the fixout, the fit-off and the maintenance items at the back end of each project. Your job is to get everything to a standard where we hand over right the first time.

What you'll be doing

• Second fix: doors, architraves, skirtings, cabinetry install and finishing detail

• The finishing work that sets the quality of our builds

• Working through the maintenance list at the end of each job so it's handed over defect free

• Working off plans and holding a consistently high standard of finish

• Dealing with clients in their homes, so presentation and manner matter

• Keeping your work area clean, safe and tidy, often in occupied homes

What we're looking for

• Trade qualified (Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent)

• At least 5 years on the tools with strong fixout and finishing skills

• A proper eye for detail and finish. This is the main thing we care about

• Your own tools and your own ute or van

• Able to work on your own and run your own day

• Good with clients. Polite, presentable and trustworthy in someone's home

• White Card and NSW driver's licence

• Reliable, on time, tidy
