About the Role

As the Property Facilitator & Guest Support officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and daily operations of BMDI House in North Melbourne, ensuring the property is safe, functional, comfortable and well presented for our guests throughout their stay.

Reporting to the Accommodation Centres Manager who is based at Hilltop in Albury, this role is an integral part of the Fight Cancer Foundation team, with a strong focus on proactive and preventative property management, identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations or the guest experience.

This role is a part time role with hours worked across five days per week.

It is important to note this role does not provide medical assistance to our guests.

A National Police Check and Working with Children Check are required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Property Management & Maintenance – Proactively identify and address maintenance issues and risks, maintain preventative maintenance schedules, and ensure all property systems remain fully operational.
• Contractor & Works Management – Coordinate contractors, oversee maintenance and improvement works, and manage projects within delegated budgets.
• House Operations & Presentation – Ensure BMDI House is maintained to a consistently high, hotel-like standard, manage stock levels, and drive continuous improvements to presentation and efficiency.
• Guest Experience & Customer Service – Manage guest check-ins, check-outs and enquiries, creating a welcoming, supportive and comfortable environment.
• Administration & Reporting – Liaise with Patient Travel and Assistance Scheme contacts across all states and maintain accurate booking, occupancy and operational records.

• As a non-profit, all employees within the organisation are fundraisers and ambassadors of Fight Cancer Foundation.

About You

• Previous experience in hospitality, accommodation services, facilities management or customer service.
• Experience in managing contractors – highly desired.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with a CMS and HubSpot is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, accountable and able to see tasks through to completion.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Flexible and willing to adapt to changing priorities, including undertaking routine domestic and maintenance duties as required.
