What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Medical Practice Co-ordinator, you'll be an essential part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering medical, allied health, and primary health care services to the Mid-Eyre community. Your day-to-day will include:

• Managing front-of-house reception, patient bookings, and appointment scheduling with accuracy and care
• Providing timely administrative, clerical, and financial support to practitioners, management, and health unit committees
• Processing billing, Medicare claims, and financial transactions in line with SA Health policies
• Supporting staff and management with correspondence, record keeping, and reporting requirements

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience in a reception or administrative role, ideally within a health or community services setting
• Confident working knowledge of medical practice software and general office systems
• Strong communication skills and a calm, considered manner when working with patients and clinical staff
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a shared-service environment without compromising accuracy
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, Medicare billing and health fund processes in line with EFNLHN requirements
• A commitment to culturally respectful service delivery for the diverse communities across the Eyre and Far North region
