A third-generation family-owned company, David Moss Corporation operates manufacturing facilities in Perth and Brisbane and employs over 100 staff in Western Australia, with the national head office located in Perth’s Northern Suburbs.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Quality Engineer to join our Quality team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent engineering graduate looking to gain practical, hands-on experience within manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering documentation, and industrial operations.
The Role
Reporting to the National Quality Manager, the Graduate Quality Engineer will support the Quality Department across a range of engineering, inspection, and quality assurance activities.
This role is designed to provide exposure to manufacturing operations, quality systems, technical documentation, and project coordination within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with Manufacturing Data Record (MDR) preparation and compilation.
Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Supporting quality inspections and verification activities.
Maintaining quality records, reports, and controlled documentation.
Assisting with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation.
Supporting project administration, reporting, and data entry activities.
Liaising with Production, Fabrication, and Operations teams regarding quality requirements.
Assisting with audit preparation and continuous improvement activities.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is eager to learn, enjoys problem-solving, and is looking to build a long-term career within manufacturing and quality engineering.
About You
You will be a motivated and proactive graduate who is looking to develop practical engineering experience within a supportive manufacturing environment.
You will also bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Engineering, or another relevant Engineering discipline.
AutoCAD 2D/3D or similar design software knowledge.
Strong Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Current Driver’s Licence.
Previous industry experience is not essential. This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate or someone looking to begin their engineering career within manufacturing and quality assurance.
