We’re a growing, values-led organisation with a strong focus on our consumers, their families and our team. When you join Respect, you become part of a supportive community that thrives on collaboration, trust and the shared belief that everyone deserves to feel valued.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Home Care, the Workforce Planning & Scheduling General Manager will lead the workforce planning, scheduling and optimisation function across our national Home Care division. This role will require interstate travel at times.
This pivotal leadership role is responsible for ensuring workforce capacity aligned to supply-demand forecasting, driving operational efficiency, workforce utilisation and continuity of care. Leading a national team of Scheduling Coordinators and Home Care Assistants, you will oversee forecasting, workforce pipeline, permanent rostering and workforce analytics to drive sustainable growth and exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development of short and long-term workforce forecasts, translating customer demand, geographical footprint and portfolio mix with workforce pipelines. Ensure workforce capacity aligns with future growth and operational priorities while supporting informed decision-making through accurate planning.
Optimise field and clinical workforce utilisation, improving permanent rosters with tight controls over indirect costs. Leverage technology and reporting indicators to refine scheduling operating models, processes and third-party engagement. Minimise vacant shifts and cancellations, aiming for optimal funding and revenue realisation.
Provide leadership to the Scheduling Coordinators and Home Care Assistants, ensuring scheduling performance meets agreed service standards, and key performance indicators. Fostering a client focused culture, balancing business needs aligned with Aged Care Act and Home Care reforms. Drive consistency of rostering across regions with emphasis on right person, right skill, right location, right time for client and employee experience.
Deliver workforce planning analytics and operational insights that enable data-driven decisions. Analyse performance trends, identify opportunities, providing recommendations that enhance operational and commercial outcomes.
Lead strategic workforce planning initiatives and continuous improvement projects that strengthen capability, improve process efficiency, drive growth and automation influencing client experience and Home Care division performance.
About You
You are a commercially minded operational leader with significant experience in workforce planning, scheduling or operational resource management within a large, multi-site service organisation.
Expertise in forecasting, capacity planning and workforce analytics, along with strong leadership, stakeholder management and change management capabilities.
Experience in aged care, healthcare or another workforce-intensive service environment will be highly regarded.
Why Join Respect?
This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in one of Australia's leading home care providers, helping shape the future of workforce planning while making a meaningful difference to the lives of older Australians.
