Electrical Apprentice

Queensland Data and Electrical Services is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team.

This is a full-time position based from our office in Brendale, Queensland. We are interested in hearing from applicants who are reliable, hardworking and ready to build a long-term career in the electrical industry.

You will work alongside experienced electricians while completing your electrical qualification and gaining practical experience across a variety of electrical and telecommunications projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment

• Learning to read and interpret electrical plans, diagrams and technical information

• Developing practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Participating in on-the-job training and attending technical college as required

• Using tools, equipment and materials safely and correctly

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment

• Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times

We are looking for someone who has:

• A genuine interest in the electrical trade and a strong willingness to learn

• Min 4 year full-time work history

• A current open driver licence

• A reliable and positive attitude

• Good problem-solving and practical skills

• The ability to work well within a team and follow instructions

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Strong attention to detail

• A strong commitment to workplace safety

• The ability to undertake physically demanding work

Previous trade, construction or electrical experience would be beneficial but is not essential. Mature age Apprenices encouraged to apply.
