Suspension Technician

About the role

The Suspension Technician is responsible for the repair and service of FOX, Marzocchi, Easton, and Race Face bicycle suspension products and componentry. This includes suspension servicing and tuning, ensuring timely repairs to meet KPIs, and inspecting, cleaning, and repairing products to factory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Complete tear down and rebuild of FOX, Race Face, Easton and Marzocchi bicycle products

• Clean and inspect all internal and external assemblies for wear or damage

• Understand technical problems effectively through proper analysis, evaluation and diagnosis

• Contact Service Writer/Service Manager if repair will cost more than original estimate given to the customer

• Ensure proper function and quality standards set by FOX, Race Face, Easton and Marzocchi on all repairs

• Follow all processes and procedures that are in effect for the operation of the department

• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations within the department

• Maintain a clean and organised work area

• Report to the Service Manager of any issues over and above the standard service

About you

• Ability to use tools properly without causing harm and damaging products

• Good communication skills to explain in detail mechanical problems with product

• Understand and execute detailed instructions given by Supervisor/Service Manager

• Ability to read technical drawings and engineering documents

• Good computer skills and ability to use database for part searches

• Ability to work within a fast-paced and team-oriented environment and meet productivity and quality goals

• Able to work autonomously and with initiative under direction of management team whilst being an integral team member

• Highly organised and proactive

• Previous bicycle, bicycle shop, or bicycle suspension experience is preferred

• Capable of lifting items up to 20kg; may require walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
