Security Testing Lead Specialist

Employment: Permanent Role

Location: Sydney, Melbourne - Hybrid

Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in Australia (Citizen, PR, Valid Visa holders).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and secure code reviews.
• Identify critical vulnerabilities, attack paths and security risks.
• Provide technical leadership for application security and secure development.
• Promote Shift-Left Security and security automation.
• Translate technical vulnerabilities into clear business risks and remediation actions.
• Mentor security team members and maintain high-quality security assessment standards.

Essential Skills

• 8+ years of Security Testing experience.
• Strong Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment experience.
• Strong Application Security & Secure Code Review skills.
• Experience with SAST, SCA and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD security and security automation.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, threat modelling, logging and monitoring.
• Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills.
• OSCE/OSWE/CREST-level capability or equivalent.

Desirable

• Software development/engineering background.
• OSCP, OSCE3, OSWE, CREST, SANS, CISSP or CCSP certifications.
• Experience with security architecture, external vendors and exploit development.
