About the role

We are seeking experienced Scaffolders to join our team on a casual basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the planning, assembly, and dismantling of temporary scaffolding structures used across construction sites. As a Scaffolder at Fazen Scaffolding and Training, you will be responsible for ensuring that all scaffolding systems are erected safely, securely, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This is an essential position within our operations, directly contributing to the safety and success of our construction projects.

Key responsibilities

1. Assemble and disassemble temporary scaffolding structures according to specifications and site requirements

2. Inspect scaffolding components for defects or damage before installation and report any issues

3. Install guardrails, safety nets, and other protective equipment to ensure worker safety

4. Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment to construct and modify scaffolding systems

5. Conduct pre-work inspections and safety checks in compliance with Australian Standards and regulatory requirements

6. Work at heights and manage vertigo or fear of heights effectively through professional experience and safety protocols

7. Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and site managers regarding project progress and safety concerns

8. Maintain a clean and organised work site and adhere to housekeeping standards

9. Follow all site-specific safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

10. Contribute to continuous improvement of scaffolding practices and safety procedures

11. You will need a drivers licence and reliable transport as although our yard is in Caboolture, our projects can be anywhere between the Sunshine Coast and Northern end of the Gold Coast.

What we're looking for

1. Current or valid scaffolding certification or qualification recognised in Australia

2. Proven experience working as a Scaffolder in commercial or industrial construction environments

3. Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, techniques, and safety standards including AS/NZS 4576

4. Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to safe work practices

5. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in demanding conditions

6. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and scaffolding plans

7. Strong teamwork and communication skills

8. Reliability, punctuality, and professional work ethic

9. Must possess valid Australian work rights
