About the Role
As the Workplace Relations Advisor, you will provide strategic leadership and expert advice across employee relations, industrial relations and workplace relations matters, helping Council foster a fair, compliant and high-performing workplace. You will lead key initiatives including enterprise bargaining, complex employee relations case management, workplace investigations, organisational change consultation and the development of contemporary workplace relations policies, frameworks and strategies.
Working closely with Executive leaders, managers, unions and key stakeholders, you will act as Council's trusted subject matter expert on workplace relations. You will represent Council in Fair Work and industrial matters, provide pragmatic risk-based advice, and drive initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, improve workplace practices and ensure compliance with employment legislation and industrial instruments.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced workplace relations professional with extensive expertise in employee and industrial relations within a large, complex and unionised environment. You will have a proven track record leading enterprise bargaining negotiations, managing complex investigations and employee relations matters, and providing strategic advice to senior leaders on workplace relations risks and opportunities. With expert knowledge of the Fair Work Act and contemporary workplace relations practices, you bring a practical, solutions-focused approach and a passion for creating positive workplace outcomes that support both organisational objectives and employee wellbeing.
