Senior Product Analyst

Location: South Melbourne, VIC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, work from home every Monday
Reporting To: Operation Leader
Salary Range: AUD 100,000 - 130,000 per annum

About the Role

You will build and maintain KPI monitoring, detect anomalies early, and produce regular and ad-hoc analyses that drive retention, conversion, and revenue performance. You will partner closely with Product Operations and Campaign teams — translating business questions into clear analytical outputs.

Key Responsibilities

·         Build and maintain a product metrics framework (dashboards, alerts, definitions) for core KPIs: conversion, retention, activity, ARPU, payment and campaign performance

·         Daily monitoring of metrics; flag anomalies and lead root-cause analysis

·         Deliver weekly/monthly insight reports and deep dives requested by operations and leadership

·         Complete independent analysis projects (e.g. funnel drop-off, cohort behaviour, campaign incrementality)

·         Develop analytical models where valuable: LTV, conversion paths, pre-churn signals (SQL + Excel/Power BI; Python/R a plus)

·         Partner with stakeholders to turn findings into prioritised recommendations

·         Document metric definitions and ensure consistent reporting across teams

·         Use AI tools to accelerate exploration and documentation where appropriate

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field (Master’s a plus)

·         5+ years in product analytics, growth analytics, or data analysis on internet/mobile consumer products

·         Strong SQL; proficient in Excel and Power BI (or equivalent); experience with product analytics tools (e.g. Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA4)

·         Solid grasp of funnel, cohort, retention, and experimentation concepts

·         Self-driven, detail-oriented, strong Mandarin communication

·         Full Australian work rights

Nice to Have

·         Python or R for analysis and light predictive modelling

·         Experience in gaming, fintech, marketplaces, or subscription consumer apps

·         Exposure to emerging markets or multi-region products

·         Experience supporting operations or campaign teams with recurring reporting cadences
