This role involves leading the design and development of back-end systems and platforms that support data and AI solutions, including architecture decisions, coding, and code reviews. The Principal Software Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams such as data engineers, data scientists, and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable software. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring engineers, establishing technical best practices, improving system performance and reliability, and ensuring secure, high-quality software delivery. The role also contributes to technical roadmaps, evaluates new technologies, and supports client engagements through technical expertise and solution design.Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.Demonstrated expertise in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-grade systems.Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and applying OOP concepts to complex, scalable architectures.Experience leading engineering teams, conducting code reviews, and mentoring developers.Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern CI/CD practices.Familiarity with data-intensive and AI/ML-driven applications is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
