Pastry chef

About the role

This is a hands-on position focused on producing and decorating a wide variety of cakes and pastries for wholesale customers.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and assembling cakes, pastries and desserts

• Decorating cakes to a high professional standard

• Producing creams, fillings, mousses and other components

• Following recipes and maintaining consistent quality

• Completing daily production within required timeframes

• Maintaining a clean, organised and food-safe workspace

• Working closely with the pastry and bakery production team

About you

• Have previous experience as a pastry chef or cake decorator

• Be confident with cake assembly, finishing and decorating

• Have excellent attention to detail

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

• Be reliable, punctual and well organised

• Be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Understand food safety and workplace hygiene requirements

• Have full Australian working rights
