In this role, you'll:

Working as part of a team delivering strategic road network planning and integrated transport outcomes across Metropolitan, Outer Metropolitan and Regional NSW, this role will see you lead the development of road network and corridor plans and supporting studies within a defined geographic area.

As a senior technical expert and project lead, you will undertake complex network analysis, shape corridor strategies and integrated transport plans, contribute to business cases and influence future infrastructure and investment decisions.

You will develop evidence-based planning solutions that improve safety, resilience, freight connectivity and network efficiency while balancing movement, place and community outcomes. Leading and working across multidisciplinary teams, you will also help strengthen network planning practices, improve the use of data and apply frameworks such as the Road Network Operating and Service Framework and Movement and Place Framework.

This role can be based in regional NSW, with the successful candidate working from an agreed Transport for NSW office.

About you

Your strategic planning, analytical and stakeholder engagement experience, developed across transport planning, infrastructure planning, engineering, road network management, government, consulting or a related sector, will enable you to develop robust planning products and provide credible, evidence-based advice.

You are a collaborative and influential technical leader who can translate complex data and competing priorities into practical planning solutions. You are experienced in leading strategic workstreams, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and communicating clearly with senior decision-makers and diverse stakeholders.

Candidates with demonstrated knowledge of road network planning principles, strong project management capability and the ability to build productive relationships across government, industry and communities will be well placed to succeed in this role.
