About us
We are a team of experienced and highly qualified consultants and trainers who specialise in the development of high-quality emergency plans, diagrams and other emergency management resources for the built environment. This includes the facilitation of workplace training to ensure every member of our clients are equipped to handle an emergency situation, should one arise.
About the role
The Operations Manager leads the day-to-day national operations of the business, including the scheduling, development, fulfilment and administration teams.
The role ensures services are delivered consistently on time and to quality across all regions, and provides the operational reporting, delivery assurance and workforce coordination that supports the National Emergency Manager’s strategic oversight of the business.
Key responsibilities include
Operations leadership and delivery
Lead the day-to-day national operations of the business, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of all services across all regions.
Ensure delivery outcomes meet client expectations and contractual obligations.
Customer liaison for all incoming and outgoing project works, including management of operational and account-level escalations through direct contact with clients and in consultation with the accounts officer.
Manage key national client relationships and strategic accounts.
Support national resource planning and workforce deployment to meet service demand across all regions.
Identify opportunities for improving policies and procedures, and for operational efficiencies, in support of the consultants, development, scheduling and administration team and the broader business.
Implement approved emergency management procedures, systems and process improvements at the operational level, as directed by the National Emergency Manager.
Ensure invoicing of all completed work, and track invoicing across all areas of the business within the approved delegations of authority in line with the budget.
People management
Have direct input into the recruitment and onboarding process of new operational employees, in conjunction with the National Emergency Manager and AESC Group HR.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including the company Management Team, to identify training and development needs, identify problems and suggest solutions.
Support of Trainer/Consultant team with the Quality Assurance of Emergency Plans, post site visit audits and training documentation, ensuring consistency and quality of services across all regions.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
Essential
Experience managing multi-disciplinary operational teams and performance delivery.
Experience in operations management, scheduling, workflow or service delivery environments.
High level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel in a diverse workforce.
Excellent organisation and time management, with acute attention to detail, analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
Experienced and effective in conflict resolution and relationship management.
Ability to lead and motivate a team toward achieving company goals and objectives.
Demonstratable intermediate to high level skills in Microsoft Office programs (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, OUTLOOK, TEAMs).
Desirable
Experience with multi-site or national operations.
Certificate or relevant experience in OHS/WHS.
Qualifications in Business, Operations Management or a related discipline.
Experience in the emergency management, fire safety, facilities management or related sectors.
