About the role
Magna Restorations Pty Ltd is a leading residential and commercial restoration company specialising in insurance restoration services across multiple states. We provide comprehensive structural and contents restoration, working closely with building reinstatement teams to restore properties affected by flood, fire, water, mould and catastrophic storm events.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable Restoration Technician to join our Melbourne team. If you have experience in the restoration industry, take pride in delivering quality outcomes and are ready for your next challenge, we would love to hear from you.
Attend sites to carry out emergency “make safe” and mitigation works to prevent further damage where required.
Prepare detailed and accurate reports, scopes of work and quotations.
Respond to water and mould damage emergencies across residential and commercial properties.
Undertake mould remediation, structural drying and fire restoration works in conjunction with building reinstatement repairs.
Liaise professionally with insurers, policyholders, contractors and other stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and project stakeholders.
Safely operate specialised restoration equipment and perform manual handling tasks.
Maintain a strong focus on health and safety and ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards and procedures.
Assist with regional and interstate deployments during catastrophic events when required.
Participate in after-hours and weekend emergency response work as required.
Successfully complete a National Police Check.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in insurance restoration (preferred).
Experience or knowledge of structural and contents restoration. Carpet cleaning experience is advantageous.
IICRC accreditation is highly regarded but not essential.
A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong time management, organisational and problem-solving skills.
The ability to remain calm, professional and focused in high-pressure emergency situations.
A current and valid driver’s licence is essential.
