MYtech Consulting Services is a growing IT service provider, providing services to public and private sector clients. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Test Analyst for a 6 month fixed-term contract within NTG. The Test Analyst will be responsible for supporting end-to-end testing activities across digital transformation initiatives, ensuring solutions meet business requirements, functional specifications, and quality expectations. The role will work closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, vendors, and business stakeholders to plan, prepare, execute, and report on testing activities across all phases of the project lifecycle.
Key Deliverables
- Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios across all phases of testing.
- Review business, functional, and technical requirements to ensure adequate test coverage.
- Perform system, integration, regression, user acceptance support, and production verification testing.
- Identify, document, track, and support resolution of defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, execution results, and traceability artefacts.
- Conduct test data preparation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes are achieved.
- Provide accurate reporting on testing progress, risks, issues, and outcomes.
- Support testing governance, quality assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of project objectives through effective testing practices.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent testing qualification.
- Demonstrated experience as a Test Analyst within medium to large ICT projects.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and quality assurance principles.
- Experience developing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
- Experience using test and defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- Ability to analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test coverage.
- Experience performing functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect investigation skills.
- Experience validating data and working with SQL or similar database technologies.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise testing documentation and reports.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience within government or highly regulated environments.
- Experience working on projects involving complex integrations or multi-system environments.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to test automation tools and non-functional testing activities.
