Tilt Tray Truck Driver

About the role

Westside Tilt Tray is seeking an experienced and professional Tilt Tray Truck Driver to join our team in Busselton, WA. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our road transport operations. As a Tilt Tray Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and goods using our specialist tilt tray equipment, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest standards of service to our clients. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for reliability and professionalism in the transport industry.

Key responsibilities

• Operate tilt tray trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles and goods to designated locations

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in roadworthy condition

• Load, secure and unload cargo using appropriate techniques and equipment, adhering to weight and safety regulations

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance

• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues

• Comply with all traffic laws, road rules and company safety policies whilst driving

• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, representing Westside Tilt Tray positively to clients

• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly to management

• Assist with general yard duties and vehicle maintenance tasks as required

What we're looking for

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's license with a clean driving record

• Proven experience operating tilt tray or similar heavy commercial vehicles

• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations, load securing requirements and workplace health and safety standards

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo

• Reliable, punctual and professional work ethic with a commitment to customer service

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions from management

• Current National Police Check and valid working with children check (if applicable) are advantageous

• Experience with vehicle recovery or towing operations is preferred but not essential

• Must be based in Busselton, Dunsborough, Cowaramup or Margaret River
