The honest bits first - because they're what you're actually wondering:

• Days are yours. Minimum two, up to five - we build the week around the right person, with your supervision schedule locked in from day one. Rolling recruitment, so let's talk about what fits your registration pathway.

• Flexibility that respects your time. Client cancels? Don't warm a chair for two hours - go home, write your notes from the couch. Face-to-face therapy is anchored in-clinic, but your time is treated as yours.

• Pay with no games. A transparent band - $85,000 - $95,000 plus super plus perks for provisional psychologists - with a clear, guaranteed review, and a locked-in salary step the day your general registration comes through. Everything substantial is paid time: reports, longer calls, case conferences.

What the work is actually like:

• Protected time that's real. 50-minute sessions with note-taking built in, plus 90 minutes of protected admin every day. AI note-taking (clients consent at intake) so your evenings come back.

• A dedicated, highly skilled admin team runs booking, billing and scheduling. You do psychology, not paperwork.

• A caseload built for your competencies, not our convenience. You'll see genuine breadth across presentations and the lifespan - the range your internship actually requires - at a realistic daily load, not a registered psychologist's targets with a provisional's support.

• Supervision that isn't box-ticking. A board-approved supervisor, dedicated 1-on-1 that meets your AHPRA requirements, post-session debriefs when you need them, plus monthly group supervision where the whole team sharpens together. Your development is the job, not something squeezed around it.

• A real path forward - in writing. Your provisional role converts to a general registration role here; the pathway is built into your agreement from day one, not renegotiated later. Plus a $1,000 PD allowance, up to $1,000 wellness allowance, early long-service leave (3 years, not 10), and salary packaging.

You won't be out here on your own. Every practice tracks utilisation. Most use it to push you harder. We use it the other way: when the team's capacity tightens, that's our signal to hire - not your signal to squeeze in another client. Your caseload fills from established referral demand, so you're never hustling to prove yourself with an overloaded book, and it stays at a level that's right for where you are in your training, not a level a spreadsheet decided for you. And you're never the only one in the building - there's a room full of colleagues and your supervisor down the hall when a session lands heavy. We built this system because we watched good early-career psychologists burn out in practices that ran it backwards. Not here.

Who we're after: a provisional psychologist (4+2, 5+1, or completing a higher degree pathway) who does thoughtful clinical work and wants to learn somewhere sane. Heart, judgment and genuine care for clients matter more to us than a polished CV - that's what these years are for.
