Our Engineering Information Management capability continues to grow, we are seeking experienced Multi-Discipline E3D Designers to join our team and support a range of major engineering and asset projects across Australia.

 

Role
We are seeking highly capable E3D Designers with strong practical design and drafting experience across one or more engineering disciplines. This is an opportunity to work with major Owner Operators on both greenfield and brownfield projects, using AVEVA E3D as the primary 3D design environment.

We are particularly interested in designers who can work confidently within a multi-discipline environment and understand how their discipline interfaces with the broader engineering design model.

You do not need to be multi-discipline across all areas. We are particularly interested in individuals with strong discipline expertise combined with the ability to understand and operate within a multi-discipline E3D environment.

Role accountabilities

·         Developing and modifying 3D engineering models within AVEVA E3D

·         Producing and maintaining engineering drawings and deliverables

·         Working across greenfield and brownfield projects

·         Interpreting engineering specifications, design criteria and project requirements

·         Developing detailed designs in accordance with project standards and procedures

·         Reviewing and validating 3D models for design accuracy, completeness and constructability

·         Identifying and resolving design clashes and interface issues

·         Working collaboratively with engineers, designers, project teams and other disciplines

·         Supporting model reviews and design verification activities

·         Producing and modifying E3D DRAFT/DRAW deliverables

·         Supporting the production and checking of isometrics

·         Working with design templates, catalogue/specification data and project standards

·         Applying discipline-specific knowledge within an integrated 3D model

·         Maintaining engineering data quality and ensuring model information is accurate and complete

·         Supporting brownfield modifications and existing asset updates where required

·         Contributing to continuous improvement of E3D modelling and design processes.

 

Competencies / Skills

·         Demonstrated professional experience using AVEVA E3D

·         Strong 3D modelling and engineering design capability

·         Experience working within an integrated, multi-discipline engineering environment

·         Strong discipline-specific design and drafting experience

·         Experience across greenfield and/or brownfield projects

·         Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, standards and design requirements

·         Experience producing, modifying and reviewing engineering deliverables

·         Experience with E3D DRAFT/DRAW

·         Understanding of E3D model structures, design hierarchies and engineering data

·         Experience with E3D catalogues and specifications is highly regarded

·         Experience with Paragon is advantageous

·         Experience developing or using design templates is advantageous

·         Experience with MDS, supports and/or piping specifications is advantageous for relevant disciplines

·         Understanding of model coordination, clash detection and discipline interfaces

·         High level of attention to detail and accuracy

·         Ability to organise workloads and establish priorities

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a broader project team

·         A strong commitment to client delivery and achieving the best possible technical outcome

·         A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
