Master Groups Pty Ltd specialises in the construction, refurbishment and maintenance of commercial and residential properties throughout Sydney’s North Shore.
We provide comprehensive building and property services, including fencing, landscaping, gardening, pool fencing, concreting, tiling, painting, plumbing, electrical work and rendering.
Our clients include corporations, government bodies, small businesses and private property owners. We manage maintenance programs, renovations and new building projects across residential and high end commercial properties.
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our team on a full time basis. The Carpenter will carry out carpentry work across residential and commercial construction, renovation, refurbishment and maintenance projects.
About the Role
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for:
· Read and interpret plans, specifications and measurements for residential and commercial projects
· Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other building materials
· Construct and install frames, flooring, walls, roofing components, doors, windows, fixtures and fittings
· Complete carpentry work for new builds, renovations, refurbishments and property maintenance projects
· Repair or replace damaged structures, fittings and building components
· Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, stability, quality and compliance with project requirements
· Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete work safely and within project timeframes
· Maintain tools, equipment and work areas and comply with workplace safety procedures
Skills and Experience Required
To be considered for this role, you must have:
· At least 12 months of relevant experience in a similar role
· Relevant formal training, or carpentry experience in lieu
· Strong communication and problem solving skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Practical experience in residential or commercial construction, renovation, refurbishment or building maintenance
· Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction materials, fixings and building methods
