Murphy’s Pub is being transformed into a buzzing Irish-inspired local — bringing together live sport, ice-cold pints, late-night energy and a fun, social atmosphere right in the heart of Cairns.

Located near some of Cairns’ busiest tourist and backpacker hotspots, Murphy’s Pub is set to become the go-to venue for locals, travellers, sports fans and after-work sessions alike.

We’re building the leadership team now and looking for passionate hospitality leaders ready to help shape the culture, lead from the front and be part of an exciting venue relaunch from day one.

• Assistant Venue Managers
• Duty Managers
• Supervisors

About the Roles

Working closely with the venue leadership team, you’ll help oversee daily operations while delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities may include:

• Leading and supporting teams on shift
• Delivering outstanding customer service
• Gaming, liquor and operational compliance
• Cash handling and venue procedures
• Training and mentoring team members
• Maintaining high venue standards
• Supporting the successful relaunch and ongoing operations of the venue

About You

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous hospitality leadership experience
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A hands-on and team-focused approach
• Gaming and liquor compliance knowledge
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for hospitality, live sport and team culture
• Weekend and late-night availability
