About your role

As a Staff Specialist in Pain Medicine, you'll join a highly skilled Department of Anaesthesia committed to delivering safe, compassionate and evidence-based care.

In this role you will:

• Deliver high-quality specialist Acute Pain Medicine services.
• Provide expert advice across surgical and medical specialties.
• Support the expansion of acute pain services and perioperative care.
• Supervise and mentor Registrars, PHOs, Interns and junior doctors.
• Participate in clinical governance, research and quality improvement.
• Develop evidence-based clinical guidelines and policies.
• Foster a culture of patient safety, collaboration and continuous improvement.

About you

You're an experienced Specialist in Pain Medicine who is passionate about improving patient outcomes through collaborative, evidence-based care.

You'll bring:

• Fellowship in Pain Medicine (FFPMANZCA or equivalent).
• Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
• Expertise in Acute Pain Medicine and perioperative care.
• Strong adult anaesthesia experience across varied specialties.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Experience supervising and developing junior medical staff.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and clinical governance.
• Compassionate, patient-centred approach with exceptional professionalism.
