About the role
We are seeking a warm and engaging Upstart Engagement Worker to help people experiencing mental health challenges build confidence, strengthen their independence and reconnect with their community. Through flexible, person-led support, you will help participants work towards goals such as volunteering, study, employment, social connection and greater participation in community life.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Better Health Network supports people and families at different stages of life and works with communities to strengthen health and wellbeing. We believe that better health and wellbeing is built around community.
As an Upstart Engagement Worker, you will provide recovery-oriented, trauma-informed support to participants in the Upstart program. Working with clinical guidance from Mental Health Clinicians, you will manage a small caseload, provide community-based outreach and facilitate group and social activities that respond to participants’ interests and goals.
