Customer Service & Admin Assistant at Animo Tutoring

📍 Remote | ⏰ Part-time, 14.5 hours/week | 💰 $30/hour + super

Animo Tutoring (www.animotutoring.com) is one of Australia's fastest-growing online education platforms, connecting hundreds of students with high-quality tutors across the country. Founded by two best mates, we're on a mission to level the playing field in education; one lesson at a time.

We're looking for a Customer Service & Admin Assistant to be the voice of Animo. This is a people-first role: you'll be on the phone with parents, interviewing prospective tutors, and keeping our community connected and looked after - with the admin work that holds it all together.

If you're a natural communicator who can build trust with a parent in one call and read a tutor's potential in the next, this one's for you.

• 14.5 hours per week, spread across 5 days (Monday to Friday)

• Two working blocks each day - one mid-morning, one in the afternoon

• $30 per hour + superannuation

• Fully remote, work from wherever you are

The split-shift structure means you're online when families and tutors need you most, with the middle of your day free. It suits someone after meaningful part-time work that fits around study, family or another commitment.

Talk to parents. Field enquiries from families, understand what their child needs, explain how Animo works and help them get started with the right tutor. You'll be the reason a parent chooses us - so there's a genuine sales element here, in the honest, consultative sense rather than the pushy one.

Recruit and interview tutors. Screen applications, run interviews and help us find educators who are as invested in students as we are.

Look after our tutors. Be their go-to contact - answering questions, handling scheduling changes, onboarding new starters and making sure they feel supported.

Keep the engine running. Coordinate lesson scheduling and tutor-student matching, maintain accurate records across our systems, and support invoicing and general admin.

Make us better. You'll hear every piece of feedback before we do. Spot the patterns and tell us what needs fixing.

• Confidence on the phone - you're warm, clear and easy to talk to, whether it's a nervous parent or a first-time tutor

• Strong written communication for email, messages and follow-ups

• People instincts: you can read someone in an interview and tell the difference between good and great

• Serious organisational skills and attention to detail; nothing slips through the cracks on your watch

• Self-motivation and reliability, since you'll be working independently across your two daily blocks

• Comfort with everyday tech (Google Workspace, spreadsheets, CRMs - or the ability to pick them up fast)

• A genuine interest in education and helping young people succeed

Experience in customer service, sales, recruitment, admin or tutoring is a real plus, but it's not a dealbreaker. If you're switched on, personable and keen to learn, we want to hear from you.
