Front Foot Law (Melbourne) We're looking for Melbourne-based Senior Legal Counsel to join us and undertake a secondment with one of our clients!

About You:We're looking for an experienced intellectual property lawyer with 10+ years PQE who is ready for a new challenge and take on contract work. Ideally, you've trained with a well-regarded firm and have worked in-house. You have strong experience in general commercial work and you think like an in-house advisor. Importantly, you enjoy turning your hand to new things that come up. You are commercially-minded, pro-active and flexible with strong technical skills.
Your skills and experience may include but are not limited to:
Providing practical, commercially-focused advice across the full range of intellectual property matters.Managing and protecting a global IP portfolio, including trade marks, patents, designs and domain names working with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.Advising on brand protection and enforcement, including infringement, misuse, counterfeiting and take-downs.Drafting and negotiating IP-related agreements, including licences, assignments, R&D and collaboration agreements, technology and software agreements, confidentiality agreements, and IP provisions in broader commercial contracts.Supporting product, brand, marketing and innovation initiatives, including clearance advice, use of third-party IP, and advertising and consumer law issues.Managing IP disputes and pre-litigation matters, including instructing and managing external advisers and budgets.Supporting IP policy, process improvement and awareness training across the business.
