The Opportunity
DTMI Maritime is seeking expressions of interest for a fixed-term acting opportunity in the CCTV Project Officer role, with possible extension. This opportunity supports career development and offers experience in technical project support, asset information management and operational documentation across the Maritime portfolio.
You will work in the Coastal Information Branch’s Oceanographic team, primarily supporting Maritime Assets and Operational Facilities, with some involvement in Oceanography fieldwork.
Overall Purpose of the Role
The role supports the planning, delivery, maintenance and administration of CCTV, CoastCam, gate access control, alarm monitoring and related electronic systems across Maritime facilities.
This opportunity will provide exposure to facilities and security-related work across the Maritime portfolio, including the management of CCTV and related assets, support for small projects, liaison with internal and external stakeholders, and coordination of operational information and records.
Working with the Oceanographic Services team, you will also have opportunities to travel along the Western Australian coastline using 4WD vehicles and boats to help maintain the instrumentation and data communication systems that support the oceanographic data collection program. If you enjoy hands-on fieldwork, working collaboratively in a supportive team environment, and contributing to services that deliver real benefits to the Western Australian community, businesses, and government, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
A key focus of the role will be improving how information is captured, maintained and documented, and developing clear procedures to support future operations, project delivery and business continuity.
There is currently 1 fixed term position available for immediate filling for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension
