Permanent Full-Time Opportunity | Based in Lismore 

38 hours per week | 5 days | 8:00pm finishes

Now advertised as a full-time position, we are seeking an experienced, reliable and detail-focused Cleaner – Parish Assets to maintain high standards of cleanliness across our parish facilities, public outdoor areas, and vehicles. This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, understands commercial cleaning environments, and takes pride in maintaining community-facing spaces. 

About the role 

In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for cleaning and maintaining a range of parish sites and public spaces, including offices, community facilities, churches, halls, a respite house, day club facilities, parish vehicles, and outdoor areas such as car parks, pathways, and entry points. 

You’ll work independently across multiple locations, using a variety of tools and equipment to ensure all spaces are clean, safe, hygienic, and welcoming for staff, parishioners, and visitors. 

Key responsibilities 

• Cleaning offices, community facilities, churches, halls, and amenities. 

• Maintaining hygiene standards in kitchens, bathrooms, and shared spaces. 

• Cleaning parish vehicles, including small buses. 

• Cleaning outdoor public spaces, including car parks and entry areas. 

• Using cleaning products, tools, and equipment safely and correctly, including leaf blowers and outdoor vacuums where required. 

• Cleaning and caring for a range of surfaces, including hard flooring, carpets, glass, marble or stone surfaces, and delicate or antique furnishings, using appropriate methods. 

• Reporting maintenance or safety concerns when identified. 

• Working across multiple sites as part of a scheduled roster. 

What we’re looking for 

Essential 

• Experience in cleaning or a strong willingness to learn. 

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 

• Understanding of WHS and safe manual handling practices. 

• Current NSW Driver’s Licence. 

Desirable 

• Experience cleaning public or outdoor spaces. 

• Experience using commercial or outdoor cleaning equipment. 

• Experience working with specialised or delicate surfaces, including marble, stone, or antique furniture. 

• Experience cleaning community or faith-based facilities. 

• Familiarity working in aged care, disability, or community environments.
