Allied Health Assistant

We are seeking an Allied Health Assistant looking for the opportunity to work in our Allied Health department. The position is to work alongside the Allied health team who service the inpatient, acute medical, palliative and day rehabilitation programs.

The position may also require knowledge or experience working with different disciplines such as Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologist and Administration staff.

Previous experience in rehabilitation and availability to work across weekdays and weekend is highly regarded.

Essential Criteria:

• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A commitment to customer service and quality improvement

• Passionate about patient care

• Ability to engage all members of the multidisciplinary team

• Current police check

Desirable Criteria: 

• Previous experience in a private hospital setting and rehabilitation of patients

• An understanding of cultural diversity

• Negotiation and conflict resolution skills

• Cover shifts on weekdays and weekends when required to support with treatment programs for patient
