We are looking for a Liquid Compounder / Batch Mixer to join our manufacturing team.
This is a hands-on role where you will manufacture products from start to finish. You'll work from approved batch instructions, weigh and prepare raw materials, operate mixing and processing equipment and turn those ingredients into finished liquid, gel and paste products.
If you enjoy practical work, working with machinery and being able to see the product you've made at the end of the process, this could be a great fit.
What you'll be doingYou will be trained in our products, equipment and manufacturing processes, with responsibilities including:
Weighing and dispensing raw materials accurately
Following batch records, formulations and manufacturing instructions
Manufacturing liquid, gel and paste production batches
Operating mixers, pumps, homogenisers and other processing equipment
Monitoring batches throughout the manufacturing process
Completing batch documentation accurately
Cleaning and sanitising manufacturing equipment and work areas
Identifying and reporting equipment or manufacturing issues
Moving and handling raw materials safely
Following GMP, safety and quality procedures
As your experience develops, you'll also have the opportunity to become involved in troubleshooting, process improvements and improving production efficiencies.
Who we're looking forYou don't need a Chemistry degree to be successful in this role.
We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in producing things correctly.
You'll ideally have:
Experience in manufacturing, production, batching, blending, mixing or a similar hands-on environment
Good basic numeracy and confidence working with weights and measurements
The ability to follow written instructions and batch records accurately
Strong attention to detail
A practical approach to operating and learning manufacturing equipment
The physical capability to perform manual-handling tasks safely [heavy lifting is involved]
A strong focus on safety, cleanliness and product quality
Reliability and a good work ethic
The ability to work well as part of a production team
Experience in pharmaceutical, animal health, chemical, cosmetics, personal care, food, beverage or similar manufacturing would be highly regarded, but direct pharmaceutical compounding experience is not required.
Forklift experience would also be advantageous but is not essential.
Why join C M Laboratories? This is an opportunity to develop a specialised manufacturing skill rather than simply perform repetitive production-line work.
We offer:
Permanent full-time employment
Monday to Thursday hours, 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8am - 2.30pm
Competitive hourly rate
Performance-based quarterly and half-yearly bonuses
