Are you a passionate and innovative language educator dedicated to creating inclusive, high-impact learning environments?
St. Michael’s College is inviting Expressions of Interest from enthusiastic Primary Language Teachers to join our vibrant team in 2027. In this role, you will lead the explicit teaching of the Languages key learning area across Prep to Year 6, equipping our students with the skills and global perspectives needed for lifelong learning in a rapidly changing world.

In this role, you will:
Drive Inclusive Education: Proactively remove learning barriers by embedding Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines to deliver flexible, engaging language experiences.
Utilise Tiered Supports: Actively operate within our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework to inform Tier 1 instruction and deliver targeted adjustments that empower every learner.
Collaborate & Innovate: Work alongside dedicated year-level teams, specialists, and leadership in a supportive, resource-rich environment.
Nurture the Whole Child: Support the spiritual, emotional, social, and academic growth of students within our caring Christian ethos.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must submit written responses addressing the following selection criteria (maximum of 1 page per criterion):
SC1: Demonstrated ability to proactively design, implement and assess effective Languages curriculum for Primary students utilising Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines, leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students.
SC2: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, implement proactive, tiered behaviour management strategies (MTSS) and apply interpersonal skills in order to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
SC3: Demonstrated ability to integrate information technology into the learning program.
SC4: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team in order to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.
SC5: Demonstrated ability to build cooperative relationships with parents and the wider school community.
