Are you an accounting professional with experience in payroll accounting, wage analysis, and financial reporting looking for your next opportunity? Foot Locker Asia Pacific is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract until July 2027 as a leave cover. In this role, you will be responsible for recording payroll-related activities in the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining reconciled accounts. You'll also support wage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis while partnering with key stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

Manage month-end and year-end payroll accounting activities, including accruals and journal entriesPrepare balance sheet reconciliations for payroll-related accountsDeliver wage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisProvide KPI reporting and workforce cost insights to business stakeholdersCalculate and reconcile bonus payments and other wage-related costsSupport audits and ensure compliance with SOX and internal controlsPartner with HR, FP&A, Payroll Operations, and other teams on payroll-related accounting mattersIdentify process improvements and efficiency opportunities

Qualifications

3-5 years' experience in accounting, management accounting, financial analysis, or a similar roleExperience with payroll accounting, wage reconciliations, workforce cost analysis, and payroll-related financial reportingUnderstanding of payroll data and how it impacts financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting outcomesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling large data setsAdvanced Excel skillsHighly organised, proactive, and detail-orientedStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
