We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Grounds Officer who is committed to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facility through proactive maintenance and repair work. 

Location: Tabeel Retirement Living - Laidley QLD Employment Type: Part-time (approx 45 hrs/fortnight)Remuneration: $29.45 - $31.11/hour

About The Role:

 In this hands-on role, you’ll manage the day-to-day operations of maintaining gardens, grounds and maintenance, ensuring everything is safe, tidy, and well-kept. You will take pride in creating attractive, well-maintained surrounds that provide a welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.   This role also utilises a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) arrangement.

Key responsibilities include:

• General maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and common areas.
• Maintaining outdoor areas to a high standard of presentation and safety.
• Identifying and reporting new risks while working to minimise existing ones.
• Preforming scheduled preventative maintenance and minor repairs as required.
• Coordinating external contractors and assisting with minor site improvement projects as required
• Using equipment and materials safely and responsibly
• Your work will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Gardening experience is essential

About You:

• Experience in groundskeeping within an aged care setting or a similar environment.(highly desirable)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow safety procedures and preventative maintenance schedules
• A team player with a proactive attitude, proven ability to demonstrate a customer service focus.
• Valid Police Check or NDIS clearance and Queensland Driver’s Licence
