Consulting Arborist

Genus Environmental is a leading provider of vegetation management services across Western Australia. Due to continued growth, we're seeking an experienced Consulting Arborist to join our team.

This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of utility vegetation management projects, providing expert arboricultural advice to clients and supporting the delivery of high-quality outcomes.

About the Role

As a Consulting Arborist, you will undertake tree inspections and assessments, prepare professional arboricultural reports, provide technical advice to clients and internal stakeholders, and support the planning and delivery of vegetation management projects across Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake arboricultural inspections, tree assessments and risk assessments.
• Prepare professional arboricultural reports and recommendations.
• Provide technical arboricultural advice to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Assess tree health, condition, structure and risk.
• Support project planning and vegetation management programs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify opportunities to support business development and client growth.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant legislation, Australian Standards and company procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture and high professional standards.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Diploma of Arboriculture.
• Current VALID or QTRA tree risk assessment qualification.
• Current pesticide licence.
• Demonstrated experience preparing professional arboricultural reports.
• Experience undertaking tree inspections and arboricultural assessments.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment such as Picus and AirSpade.
• Experience applying AS 4970:2025 – Protection of Trees on Development Sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills.
• Sound technical knowledge of arboriculture and vegetation management.
• Current driver's licence.
• Strong computer skills.
• A commitment to safety and delivering high-quality outcomes.
