Cleaning & Laundry Team Leader

We are looking for a dedicated Cleaning & Laundry Team Leader to join our team on a part-time basis. Working 60 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday, you’ll lead and support our Cleaning and Laundry team to maintain a high standard of service and help create a clean, welcoming and homely environment for our residents.

 The Role:

Our Cleaning & Laundry Team Leader leads and coordinates the cleaning and laundry services within our Aged Care home, ensuring services are delivered to a high standard and contribute to a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our residents. You will build strong relationships with residents, families and Care Staff while supporting your team to deliver services that promote resident choice, dignity, quality of life and a strong sense of home, in accordance with our values.

What you will do:

• Lead, coordinate and support the Cleaning and Laundry team to ensure services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard
• Monitor cleaning and laundry services, schedules and audits, ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational requirements
• Provide effective communication, guidance and support to team members, including training, competency and performance monitoring
• Ensure cleaning and laundry services contribute to a positive resident experience and a safe, clean and welcoming sense of home
• Work closely with the Residential Services Manager to monitor service delivery, quality outcomes and cleaning and laundry expenditure
• Ensure required documentation, reporting and quality improvement activities are completed accurately and within required timeframes
• Maintain effective stock, equipment and laundry processes, ensuring the team has the resources required to deliver high-quality services

• Competitive salary: Circa $51,300 + 12% superannuation (30 hours per week)

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cleaning, laundry or support services
• Experience in aged care is highly desirable
• Certificate in Leadership, Hospitality, Cleaning Operations or a related field - desirable
• Current NDIS Worker Check (or willing to obtain)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to resident-centred care and enhancing quality of life
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
