Purpose of the Position

GHS Solutions is seeking an experienced Machinist with fitting capabilities to join our growing engineering and machining team in Geraldton.

This role will involve a combination of manual machining, component manufacture, and mechanical fitting work across a variety of projects supporting the mining, resources, and industrial sectors.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and can work both independently and within a team

Mandatory Requirements

Trade Qualification (Cert III Mechanical Fitting or Cert III Fitting and Machining)Construction Industry White CardCurrent Police Clearance (obtained within the past 12 months)HRWL Forklift licence (desirable, not essential)Current Drivers licence

Key Responsibilities

Operating manual & CNC lathes and milling machinesMachining components to engineering drawings and tolerancesAssisting with mechanical fitting, assembly and repairsInspection and measurement of machined partsMaintaining workshop equipment and toolsEnsuring compliance with quality and safety standards

Skills And Experience

Experience operating manual and CNC lathes and milling machinesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience with mechanical fitting and equipment repairsStrong attention to detail and precisionAbility to work independently and within a teamMining or heavy industry experience highly regardedAbility to pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening
