About the Contract

Ventia is delivering the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract
(VRMC) across the Grampians and Eastern Metropolitan regions, providing
comprehensive arterial road maintenance and asset management services that
support the safe and efficient movement of people and goods across Victoria's
road network.

About the Role

Ventia is proud to play a key role in the Victorian
transport infrastructure sector and is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to
join our Transport Infrastructure Solutions team.

This leadership position is responsible for leading SHEQ
performance across the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract, partnering with
operational teams to strengthen safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance,
and drive continuous improvement across road maintenance, asset management and
minor capital works delivery.

Working closely with operational leaders, frontline teams
and key stakeholders, you will provide practical guidance, lead assurance
activities and champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen
safety culture and operational outcomes.

The role supports delivery across the Grampians
region and Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, with flexibility to be based from
our Cremorne, Dandenong or Wendouree offices. Travel across the contract
footprint will form part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead
and promote safety, environmental and quality management systems across the
contract

· Partner
with operational leaders to embed SHEQ objectives and drive performance
outcomes

· Provide
coaching, mentoring and expert SHEQ guidance to operational teams

· Lead
assurance activities including audits, inspections and compliance reviews

· Drive
critical risk management initiatives and continuous improvement programs

· Monitor
and report on SHEQ performance, identifying trends and opportunities for
improvement

· Support
incident investigations and corrective action management

· Foster
a positive safety culture across field-based and office-based teams

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

· Demonstrated experience in a SHEQ leadership,
management or senior advisory role within infrastructure, civil construction,
transport, utilities or a related industries

· Certificate IV, Diploma, or higher qualification
in WHS/OHS or a related field.

· Strong capability in influencing operational
leaders and building positive stakeholder relationships

· Well-developed knowledge of safety management
systems, risk management and compliance requirements

· Experience leading audits, assurance activities
and continuous improvement initiatives

· Current driver's licence

· Good understanding of Computerised Maintenance
Management Systems (CMMS)
