About the role
About the Role
We are looking for an Internal Recruiter to join our People & Culture team and help us find great people to support the continued growth of DCC Industry Group. This is a busy, hands-on recruitment role where no two days will look quite the same. You will manage multiple vacancies, work closely with hiring managers, speak with candidates every day and help keep recruitment moving across a diverse organisation. A large part of your portfolio will support our residential care services, alongside recruitment across other areas of DCC such as disability, allied health, foster & kinship and corporate services.
We work in a highly regulated sector, so getting people through the door quickly matters, but getting the right people through the door matters more. You will need to balance pace, candidate experience, quality and compliance. You'll be joining a high-performing, friendly and genuinely supportive team where people work hard, help each other and enjoy working together.
What You'll Be Doing:
Handle end-to-end recruitment from advertising and sourcing through to interview, selection, offer and onboarding.
Partner with hiring managers to understand what they need and provide practical recruitment advice.
Screen and interview candidates and make informed recommendations on suitability.
Manage multiple vacancies and changing priorities, keeping recruitment moving and stakeholders informed.
Proactively source candidates and build talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles.
Coordinate and facilitate group interviews and assessment centres.
Maintain regular, professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Ensure recruitment processes and decisions meet DCC's compliance, probity and child-safe requirements.
Maintain accurate recruitment records and use recruitment data to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
Build relationships with universities, RTOs, employment services and other external talent partners to establish various talent pipelines.
About You
Recruitment experience will certainly help, but we're also open to someone newer to recruitment who has the right transferable skills, attitude and drive to learn.
This role will suit someone who genuinely enjoys being busy. You can have several things happening at once, work out what needs your attention first and pivot when priorities change without losing track of everything else.
You're proactive and self-driven rather than waiting to be told what to do next. You communicate well, follow things through and care about doing a good job. You'll also be comfortable learning the compliance requirements that come with recruiting within a heavily regulated sector.
Most importantly, you understand the balance between urgency and quality. We have roles that need to be filled quickly, but we won't compromise our standards simply to make a hire.
Requirements & Certifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in human resources or business discipline is desirable
Recruitment experience is desirable, particularly within human services or another high-volume environment, but is not essential for the right person.
Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and confidently switch between tasks.
A proactive, self-motivated approach and willingness to take ownership of your work.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both candidates and stakeholders.
Good judgement, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly learn and apply compliance, regulatory and organisational requirements.
Confidence using technology and learning new systems, including recruitment and HR platforms.
A genuine sense of urgency while maintaining quality, accuracy and a positive candidate experience.
Current driver's licence and ability to travel to DCC sites when required.
Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check or able to obtain
Clear national police check or able to obtain
Satisfactory LCS outcome or able to obtain
What's on Offer
$75,000pa + superannuation
Permanent, full-time opportunity
Monday to Friday, standard office hours – no shift work or weekend recruitment
A positive team environment that we are proud of, with consistently strong feedback from team members about the support, connection and culture within the team.
A leader and team who will support your development, whether you're an experienced recruiter or bringing strong transferable skills and looking to build your career.
Plenty of variety and autonomy, with the opportunity to take ownership of your portfolio while still having a team around you when you need them.
Exposure to high-volume recruitment, talent sourcing, stakeholder partnering, workforce planning and broader recruitment projects.
The opportunity to contribute ideas, improve how we do things and see the impact of your work across a diverse and growing organisation.
A purpose-driven role where your expertise will directly support better outcomes for children, young people and families
Access to our Employee Assistance Program to support your wellbeing
