About the role
St Scholastica’s College
Permanent Mathematics Teacher
Term 4, 2026 start – full-time permanent position
We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Mathematics teacher to join our collaborative, forward-thinking department from Term 4, 2026, in a full-time, permanent capacity.
The key responsibilities of the position include (but are not limited to):
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Years 7-12 which inspire a love of mathematics in our students
Develop innovative and engaging teaching resources and assessments to support student learning and build confidence and curiosity in numeracy
Provide individualised feedback and support to students, helping them reach their full potential
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
Successful applicants will have:
Relevant teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation (Stage 6 Advanced experience desirable)
Strong subject matter expertise, with the ability to interpret data to adapt teaching methodologies to engage different learning styles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
A passion for ongoing professional development and commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest pedagogy and technologies
A collaborative and solution-orientated mindset, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
