About the Position
As the Nursing & Midwifery Professional Experience Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for planning, coordination, quality assurance and continuous improvement of undergraduate Nursing and Midwifery professional experience placements (PEP) while contributing to teaching, curriculum development, scholarship and internal and external stakeholder engagement.

You will lead the national coordination and governance of professional experience placements and develop and maintain partnerships across Health Services, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and other placement providers. 

About You
To be successful in the role, you will require:

• Current registration with AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife where appropriate.
• Completed Master’s qualification in nursing or midwifery.
• Contemporary clinical and/or clinical education experience, with demonstrated knowledge of current professional experience placement (PEP) challenges, opportunities, and emerging issues within health education and clinical practice environments.
• Extensive experience leading and coordinating professional experience placements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) accreditation standards for Registered Nurse and Midwife education programs, including requirements relating to professional experience placement within undergraduate and preregistration courses.
• Knowledge of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse and Midwife Standards for Practice and their application to professional experience requirements, student preparation, and clinical practice within undergraduate and pre-registration education programs.
• Evidence of excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.
• High level of organisational and project management skills.
• Experience in curriculum development, preparation and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate and graduate entry education programs to students from relevant health disciplines.
• The ability to work both autonomously or in a team environment, and proven abilities to manage and motivate teams and students as required.

Desirable competencies

• Experience with university and/or industry placement systems
• Completed PhD or significant HDR progression

Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and a valid Working with Children clearance

Remuneration 
Appointment to this role will be at HE Academic Level C. The base salary will be in the range of $138,554 - $162,146 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $162,108 - $189,710 per annum, inclusive of 17% superannuation.
