About the roleDue to a recent rise in workload within our service and maintenance division, we now have exciting new openings for Plumbers & Gas Fitters. Our company serves a diverse range of customers, and you will be tasked with handling various assignments across Melbourne.Each day, you'll start from home and travel to residential sites arranged by our admin team. You can easily view and manage your scheduled bookings through our mobile app.
Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesMaintain, service and repair domestic and commercial plumbing systems.Install domestic and commercial plumbing systems, including water and gas lines.Diagnose plumbing faults and complete effective repairs.Install, replace, change over and repair hot water systems, including heat-pump systems.Complete drainage and sanitary plumbing work.Install plumbing fixtures and appliances.Plan and forecast the labour and materials required for each job.Ensure all work complies with applicable Australian Standards, regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.Deliver high-quality work within required timeframes.Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite.About YouWe are looking for a skilled and dependable plumber who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship. You will be comfortable working autonomously, making sound decisions and contributing as part of a team.You will have:Experience in plumbing maintenance and installation work.Strong fault-finding, decision-making and problem-solving skills.The ability to work independently and within a team environment.A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.A sound understanding of Australian Standards.A sound understanding of occupational and workplace health and safety requirements.The ability to forecast labour and material requirements.Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.The ability to deliver quality results within tight timeframes.Essential RequirementsBPC plumbing and gas registration.Construction Induction Card (White Card).Current Victorian driver’s licence.Australian citizenship or permanent, unrestricted working rights in Australia.Advantageous QualificationsType A Gas Appliance Servicing registration.Mechanical Services registration or qualification.Restricted Electrical licence or qualification.Benefits Attractive salary and career progression.
