Having recently expanded into vacuum excavations, we are searching for the next mechanical superstar!

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of water trucks, vacuum trucks, and trailers across South East Queensland. Based from our Moffat Beach depot, you’ll spend most of your time in the field carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll work independently while staying connected to a skilled workshop team. Duties include:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on water trucks, vacuum trucks, trailers, pumps, and associated equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs both in the workshop and on customer sites.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to keep our fleet operating safely and reliably.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records using our fleet management system (AroFlo).
• Assist with fabrication, welding, and equipment modifications where required.

What you’ll need:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Technology (minimum Cert III).
• Experience working on diesel engines, heavy vehicles, or mobile plant is highly regarded.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• White Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Welding, fabrication, pump, and small engine experience will be highly regarded.
• Forklift, HR, or MR licence is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and provide excellent service in the field.
