About the role
DS Sports is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced OSHC Coordinator to join our team.
We are looking for a passionate and committed individual who has previous experience in OSHC and a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, MTOP and child-safe standards.
As an OSHC Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring children are provided with a safe, engaging and inclusive environment.
You will work closely with educators, families, schools and the DS Sports Leadership Team to ensure the service operates to a high standard.
We also have positions available for part time and casual work at various venues across the South East Suburbs.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operation of the OSHC program
Develop and implement engaging programs based on children's interests
Build positive relationships with children, families and the school community
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and Child Safe Standards
Support behaviour guidance and positive relationships
Maintain appropriate records, documentation and compliance requirements
Assist with staff supervision, rostering and team development
Communicate effectively with families and respond professionally to enquiries and concerns
Create a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing environment for all children
Essential:
Previous experience working in an OSHC Coordinator or leadership role
Strong understanding of OSHC operations and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead, support and motivate a team
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Commitment to child safety and wellbeing
Current Working with Children Check
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
Current Child Safety Certificate
20+ hours per week during school terms
Support from an experienced DS Sports Leadership Team
