Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join Lifestyle Commercial Floorcoverings Pty Ltd in a full-time capacity, based in Luscombe, QLD. This is a key position within our finance team, responsible for the preparation, analysis and reporting of financial information that supports the strategic decision-making across our organisation. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records whilst maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Working directly with the Managing Director you will have direct input to the strategy and future of this organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Full P&L and BS responsibility

• Managing monthly cash flow and payments

• Xero based payroll processing including PAYG and PDS lodgment.

• Preparing and Lodging monthly project claims including management of the retention’s ledger.

• Reconciliation and lodgement of IAS and PAYG reporting

• Managing stock control systems

• Controlling Work in Progress reporting and project profitability

What we're looking for

• A relevant accounting qualification such as a Bachelor of Accounting, CPA or CA Australia membership, or equivalent qualification

• Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry

• Proficient with Xero accounting and projects in particular

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Payapps, Premier or Procore and industry software will be advantageous

• Ability to produce and manage construction Progress Claims including retention management
