About the role
Tired of the Melbourne commute? Craving a tree change without losing city conveniences?
Step into leadership at Baker Motors in Albury-Wodonga. We are seeking an experienced Automotive Workshop Supervisor—or an ambitious Senior Technician ready to take that next step into a supervisory role—to help lead our workshop team.
Enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant regional hub with fine dining, top schools, the Murray River on your doorstep, and zero gridlock traffic, all just a 3-hour drive from Melbourne.
Generous Relocation Package: Financial support available for the right candidate.
Career Growth: Step into a pivotal leadership role with strong backing from management and senior technicians.
Lifestyle Upgrade: Ditch the 90-minute commute and enjoy affordable living in a thriving regional city.
Modern Workshop: Work with a collaborative, supportive team in a fully equipped environment.
Competitive Package: Remuneration reflective of experience.
As Workshop Supervisor, you will balance floor leadership with technical oversight to keep our team firing on all cylinders:
Overseeing daily workshop workflow, job allocation, and technician productivity.
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to technicians and apprentices.
Collaborating with Service Advisors to ensure accurate repair estimates and timely job completion.
Ensuring workshop safety, quality control, and compliance standards are strictly met.
Hands-on diagnostic and repair work when complex jobs require senior expertise.
Trade Qualified: Cert III in Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
Leadership Potential: Current supervisor, foreman, or a senior technician with strong communication skills ready to step up.
Problem Solver: Strong diagnostic capabilities and a sharp eye for quality control.
Team First Attitude: A mentor who leads by example and keeps workshop morale high.
Valid Driver’s Licence: Full manual driver’s licence required.
If you’re ready to trade the city hustle and bustle for country lifestyle charm—without giving up city amenities—we want to hear from you.
