As part of Manulife Investment Management integrated farmland investment management platform, we support institutional investors through professional farm management, financial stewardship and operational excellence.

With operations across Australia, we manage and optimise investments in tree crops, viticulture and intensive row crops.

The Job

Reporting to the Commercial Financial Manager, the Senior Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable professional plays a critical role in ensuring the timely, accurate and complete processing of financial transactions across multiple managed asset entities.

The role provides leadership within the AP and AR function, supports efficient financial operations and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions across multiple entities.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments and receipts through Esker and Great Plains.

• Prepare and coordinate payment batches in accordance with Delegation of Authority requirements.

• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and supplier statement reconciliations.

• Monitor and review debtor and creditor ageing reports, proactively resolving outstanding items.

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers to resolve queries and improve service delivery.

• Support cash flow management and day-to-day finance administration activities.

• Act as the Esker Purchase-to-Pay System Administrator.

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all systems and processes are appropriately documented.

• Contribute to process reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

• Maintain consistent application of internal controls, policies and procedures to safeguard company and client assets.

About You

You are an experienced AP/AR professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You enjoy working collaboratively, take ownership of outcomes and are driven to continuously improve processes and performance.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a senior or team leader Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable role.

• A Cert III in Accounts/Accounting or equivalent experience.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions.

• Demonstrated analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

• A commitment to teamwork, customer service and delivering results.

• Strong computer skills, with experience using Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems highly regarded.

• Experience with Purchase-to-Pay platforms such as Esker advantageous but not essential.
