Logistics & Compliance Coordinator (Marine Construction)

About the role

Gold Coast Barges is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics & Compliance Coordinator (Marine Construction) to join our team in Coomera, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our marine construction logistics and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics operations, managing documentation, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory requirements across our fleet and project operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinating logistics and scheduling for marine construction projects, including barge movements, cargo management, and equipment deployment

• Maintaining and updating compliance documentation, regulatory records, and safety protocols in accordance with maritime and construction industry standards

• Liaising with clients, port authorities, regulatory bodies and internal teams to ensure all project requirements and deadlines are met

• Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating the procurement of materials and equipment for construction projects

• Identifying and resolving logistical challenges and potential compliance issues proactively

• Supporting the preparation of reports and presentations for management and regulatory stakeholders

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in logistics coordination, marine operations or construction project management

• Strong knowledge of maritime and construction compliance requirements, safety regulations and industry standards

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

• Proficiency with logistics management systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders

• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping

• Problem-solving ability and the capacity to work independently and within a team environment

• A valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel as required

• Relevant certifications such as Maritime Safety Qualifications, TAFE qualifications in logistics or construction management are highly desirable
