Despatch & Logistics Coordinator

A timber wholesaler, located in St Marys, requires a highly organised and proactive Despatch & Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The role is responsible for coordinating delivery runs, supporting drivers and involvement in all aspects of warehouse operations. In addition, there will be a requirement to unload trucks, where required, and to ensure that the despatch function runs effectively and on time.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across warehouse, transport, sales & customer service functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery function, internally & externally, with warehouse, sales staff and customers

• Allocate and despatch delivery runs

• Communicate daily driver schedules with delivery drivers, sales team and management

• Monitor GPS tracking to ensure delivery schedules are maintained

• Communicate delivery information to customers, sales teams, managers and other stakeholders

• Provide warehouse assistance, as required, to prepare and unload trucks where necessary

About You

• Previous experience in despatch, logistics, transport, warehousing or a similar coordination role

• Timber experience a distinct advantage

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing across all levels of the organisation

• Attention to detail and accuracy when mangaing orders, delivery runs and system information

• Experience working with transport management or delivery systems

• Current forklift licence
