Casual Chef

Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club are looking for a casual or part time Chef

ABOUT THE ROLE

PHGCC is committed to providing fantastic offerings to our patrons , and as part of that expansion, we are looking for a casual or part time chef for 20 hrs +, to join our kitchen team. We are seeking an experienced Chef who is available across a 7 day roster and can multitask in a busy, organised kitchen. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes 

• Prepare and store food ensuring stock rotation and control is maintained

• Ability to work unsupervised & the ability to supervise other kitchen staff

• Responsible for the overall cleanliness and presentation of the kitchen

• Ensure compliance with food hygiene and workplace health and safety practices

• Care and maintenance of kitchen and equipment

• Monitoring portion and waste control

• Assist Head Chef / Sous Chef, where required, with menu planning, weekly tasks and maintaining department budget

To be successful you will have:

• Experience in a high volume establishment (dining and function)

• Cert IV in Commercial Cookery

• Knowledge of food safety and WH&S principles

• Strong communication & time management skills

• Be a reliable team member and have great attention to detail

This position will involve working across 7 days, currently Friday and Saturday night dining and will offer flexibility in the roster.
