Glam Looks Hair & Beauty Salon is a professional hair and beauty salon located in Greenway, ACT. We provide a range of hairdressing and beauty services to our clients and are committed to delivering quality service in a welcoming and professional salon environment.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Hairdresser to join our team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

The successful applicant will perform a broad range of professional hairdressing duties and provide high-quality hair care and styling services to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties of the position include:

• Providing advice to clients on hair care, beauty products and hairstyles

• Shampooing hair and conditioning hair and scalps

• Colouring, straightening and permanently waving hair using chemical solutions and appropriate professional techniques

• Cutting and shaping hair using scissors, clippers and razors

• Styling hair, including dreadlocks and braids, and applying hair extensions where required

• Shaving and trimming beards and moustaches

• Cleaning work areas and sanitising hairdressing instruments and equipment

• Arranging client appointments and collecting payments

• Cleaning, colouring, cutting and styling wigs and hairpieces where required

• Consulting with clients to understand their hair care and styling requirements

• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, customer service and professional presentation

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have:

• A relevant Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification

• At least 1 year of relevant hairdressing experience

• Demonstrated practical skills in cutting, colouring, styling and hair treatments

• Sound knowledge of hair care products, colouring products and salon procedures

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to hygiene, presentation and workplace safety

• Ability to manage appointments and provide professional service to clients
